Summary/Abstract: The concept of woman's destiny is discussed in a social aspect by Nina Iskrenko (1951-1995). In her works Iskrenko ruins the Soviet myth about men's and woman's equality, and a woman's liberty in socialistic society. In her poetic teksts two types of women are brought out: humiliated by Soviet manner of living "voluntary victims" and unfettered, challenging by their sexuality "Amazons". However, the dependence on a man and the rejection of their own subjectivity brings them together. Analysis of her texts lets us declare that the poetess doesn't agree with the radical feministic views on the sexes' relationship problem and stays in the flame of its patriarchai comprehension, which is marked by self irony.
