There are appearing also numerous studies and papers which cast a new light onto the person who played a very significant role in the history of the Republic of Poland. The aim of the present article is to show the profile of Jan Zamoyski in the light of the relation made by Nuncio Claudio Rangoni in 1604, which makes the source of reliable information on the personage and activity of the Lord Grand-Chancellor of the Crown. In none of the known relations left by apostolic nuncios was there so much information directly relating to the personage of Jan Zamoyski, including that concerning his parliamentary activity.
