The light of education, science and culture in the south-east European part of Russia (To the 100th anniversary of Saratov state university)

Summary/Abstract: The work demonstrates the main stages of coming into being and de-velopment of Saratov state university. The author underlines the fact that the creation of the university was made according to the requests of Saratov citi-zens. The article shows the main upheaval of the development of personnel potential of the university. The role of Saratov scientists in the development of national science is underlined. The further activities of the outstanding graduates of the university are examined. Attention is given not only to the scientific and educational work but also to the relaxation of Saratov students.
