Ascent of digital television

Summary/Abstract: Television as an important communication tool has gone through lots of technical changes since its creation. From introduction of colour transmission, teletext, stereophonic sound, broadening of distribution of television signal to satelite and cable transmission, to change of format to 16 : 9 and television with high resolution capability. All the changes were aiming one direction – increase the quality of television signal transmission. After all capabilities of analogue television has been used, digital television is upon ascent.
