Summary/Abstract: The aim of the bilingual education in the EU boarder areas is to develop the mutual understanding of neighbouring nations, to promote the idea of global citizenship in euroregions. I investigate the bilingual school in Euroregion Nisa the conception of the identity of the Czech and German schoolmates and the a/symmetry of language use of both partner languages. I follow the connection between language use and the use of ethnics’ categories in situ. Language asymmetry causes problems in relationships between members of two neighbouring partner nations and leads into the ethnic exclusion. My findings arise from hidden observation and from the analysis of 1.250 minutes speech records. In this article, my statements are proved through analysis of common dialogs.
