Summary/Abstract: Interpretation of historical styles is examined as a creative method of innovative architecture. Contradictions with provisions of heritage preservation institutions and context of contemporary architectural movements in Lithuania are analyzed. Aspects of semantics, architectural narrative as important features of architectural interpretation are researched.
