NEW DATA ON VIDOVO POLJE

Summary/Abstract: Although they do not offer too many information, these three new data still succeed to expand the reliable knowledge about Vidovo Polje and the region of Stolac in the Middle Ages. The first data offers relevant confirmation of age, activity and vitality of the area of Stolac in the 14th century, as the first clearly defined written archival information. All the three data confirm, once again, that Vidovo Polje definitely did exist as a separate administrative unit by the end of the 14th and in the 15th century, and that the line of its earlier history, its emergence, growth and development, are new totally open for new searches and considerations.
