Summary/Abstract: This study intends to propose a few original opinions regarding the messages conveyed by the exterior painting of Voroneţ Monastery to the generations of worshippers that have stopped to look at it during five centuries. The genius of Grigore Roşca has its roots in the sacred ideal of independence of Great Saint Stephen and from the “inspiration” of the “late peasant saint given by our Moldavia”, Hermit Daniil.
