Pupils' attitudes towards learning activity

Summary/Abstract: The presented research includes ranging of the reasons for the positive students' attitudes towards different school subjects — interests, manner of teaching, necessity of educational activity, stage of difficulty, required resources, entertainment, parent's requirement, studies satisfaction, desire for university appliance, etc. The reasons for students' negative attitude towards subjects are discussed also: knowledge useless in life, inadequate manner of teaching, difficulties in understanding, lack of common interests between students and teachers, parents' disapproval, negative emotions caused by the manner of teaching, etc. The research is cross-cultural and compares the study motivation of Bulgarian and Yemeni students.
