Socialization processes in early school age and television

Summary/Abstract: Middle childhood socialization proceeds mainly in two institutions — family and school However, children's socialization researches would have remained incomplete without considering mass-media, particularly TV, influence. There are many issues, which determine researches' mainline. What is the parental style? How does the child adapt to school? What kind of peers relations does it have? How does the wide social room control children's socialization? It is suggested that TV and other media become the third rank socializing institution.
