Professional educational contacts with Russia in the light of Iranian intelligentsia formation (the late 19th — the beginning of the 20th century)

Summary/Abstract: The article shows less-known aspects of the beginning of the Russian-Iranian relationship in the professional educational sphere that assisted the beginning of the formation of Iranian national contemporary intelligentsia. The efforts of Iranian reformers and educators in the creating the secular edu-cational institutions and training of professional specialists in the countries of Europe and in Russia are marked out. The first success of Iranian intelligent-sia participation in social, political and economic development of the Iranian state in the conditions of its formational transformation in the end of the 19th — the beginning of the 20th century is shown in the article.
