Summary/Abstract: Cancer is one of the most common diseases of XXI century. It is estimated that one in four Europeans will suff er from it. Age, race, wealth or level of education are of no signifi cance. Each year more pregnant women fi nd out they have the disease. The article takes the opportunity of describing the motherhood of women diagnosed with breast cancer. The theoretical part explains the disease itself and treatment possibilities. It is about women who discover they are pregnant and have the disease at the same time. Readers will accompany her from diagnosis through to treatment. They will become witnesses to her choice between the foetus’s life and protection of the mother’s health.
