The Importance of Land Use Planning Documents in the City of Krakow

Summary/Abstract: Formulating and implementing spatial policy in a municipality is a task the municipality sets and carries out itself. There can be no doubt that existing planning documentation is of great importance to sustainable development. The article attempts to characterise and evaluate local development plans, the study of the conditions and directions of Krakow’s spatial management and administrative decisions. The City of Krakow is an interesting area for analysis because there is great variety in the special changes occurring there. The article also highlights how the creation of planning documents was done in Krakow between 2003 and 2011.
