Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes the trends in representing minorities in textbooks of history used in the Bulgarian high-schools after 1995. The author tries to follow the shifting balance in the explanations given in the different editions of the textbooks, the role of the political developments in Eastern Europe and Bulgaria in the treatment of minorities and the reflection on the discussions in modern Bulgarian historiography about their content.
