Summary/Abstract: The paper describes programs of studies preparing students for the accounting profession. The research covered randomly chosen universities in Australia, Germany, the United States and Poland. The aim of the paper is to make review of the area of knowledge necessary for qualifying as professional accountant according to International Education Standard no 2.
