Uniformization of accounting regulations in the European Union and education of accountants

Summary/Abstract: Nowadays, one of the most significant problems faced by accounting is the growing need to make its regulations uniform. The process of developing and adopting directives and international accounting standards has a great influence on the education of present and future accountants. Although the would-be accountants have to meet higher requirements than a few years ago, the number of candidates for the profession continues to grow. The main reason for this situation is the possibility of finding a job that is not only interesting and satisfactory but also adequately paid.
