Municipal companies’ debt. Selected problems

Summary/Abstract: In performance of their statutory tasks, the local authorities establish various organisational units. These may take the form of commercial companies. If this is so, the debt incurred by such a commercial company has no statutory limitation but nevertheless it may significantly affect the financial situation of the parent local authority. This article presents the results of a survey on the level of municipal companies’ debt in Poland.
