Summary/Abstract: The application of meta-cognitive strategies in the actor’s training is a consequence of the contacts of theatre researchers with contemporary cognitive sciences. This article intends to emphasize two of the issues discussed in studies “at the border” between theatre and neurosciences: the psyche-body dichotomy and the process of loss, respectively, of retrieval of the self during the actor’s training.
