Ljubiša Mitrović, full professor at the Department of Sociology of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Niš, one of the more renowned Serbian general and de- velopmental sociologist of the older generation. Professor Mitrović has obliged the Serbian and Balkan science with numerous valuable books and articles in various so- ciological branches. Apart from the high theoretical achievement in the sociological disciplines that he deals with, he is also very dedicated to managing scientific projects and raising the sociological youth, and is thus far the most significant sociologist of the so-called Niš school of sociology.
