Summary/Abstract: Non-sites are anonymous spaces of our daily life: motorways, railway stations, airports, supermarkets, cars, planes, in short – means of mass transportation. It is in non-sites that we experience a particular form of ‘entirely new loneliness’, which describes the status of each individual in our contemporary world. Today’s use of the term ‘space’ is unclear and blurred, and it unambiguously leads to experiencing non-site as the main feature of super-modernity.
