Summary/Abstract: A much-preferred motif in Gothic church architecture – ambulatory – was not much used in Old Livonia. Radiating chapels can only be seen in the St. Peter’s Church in Riga. A reduced solution without the chapels has been used in the reconstruction of two parochial churches in Tallinn in the first decades of the 15th century. Besides, a chancel with ambulatory was used in the most imposing sacral construction in Old Livonia – Tartu Dome Cathedral.
