Social territorial responsibility in the light of sustainable development concept

Summary/Abstract: Local development is gaining more importance in the globalization of global economy which is often confirmed in theory and practice of local communities’ activity. Among effective instruments of local development management there are strategies of activities, specific concepts and institutions which concern their creation and coordination. An increasing role of local communities and social capital is further evident when we consider the realization of these strategies and concepts which are not commonly used and do not meet with general acceptance.
