New mechanisms of territorial cohesion realization in “National Strategy for Regional Development during the period 2010-2020”

Summary/Abstract: The article shows new possibilities for the realization of territorial, social and economic cohesion policies in the context of the fifth report of the European Commission − ”Investing in Europe’s future”. The factors determining the efficiency and effectiveness for the realization of the new “National Strategy for Regional Development in Poland during the period 2010-2020” are also examined in this context. The strategy strongly guides the public intervention towards strengthening regional competitiveness abilities, as one of the important factors for determining the growth of the economy, productivity and work efficiency in all European Union regions.
