Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with the questions of sustainable development and the development of Yugoslavia. The fundamental emphasis is focused on the role of the international organizations and institutions in making the concept of sustainable development, then on the relationship of ecology and economy as well as on the ecological situation and economy development in Yugoslavia.
