Summary/Abstract: This article is aimed at showing how, in the multilingual environment of Luxembourg, lan-guage policy passes for the defence of Luxembourgish as a language of integration. It focuses on the peculiar linguistic situation of this country where, unlike Belgium and Switzerland, the use of a language is not limited to a certain geographic area, but fundamentally depends on the communica-tion situation in which the speaker is found.
