Summary/Abstract: Romania's legislation, before joining the European Union, wasn’t creating an an effective framework to protect the criminal facts which would harm in matter of intellectual property. The present study makes several general considerations on how the Romanian legislator has implemented the European requirements in this field, as well as several of its effects. Also are presented the most important references on copyright and related rights of copyright and „sui generis” rights of database makers as well as the industrial property right.
