Summary/Abstract: This article analyses an intertextuality exemple (Mihai Eminescu and Gérard de Nerval), created on the romantic pattern. From the two poets’ work, which represent the object of the comparison, a field less explored by the critics was chosen, that of the theatre. The author distinguishes an external dimension and an internal one – to the work – that of the theatre. In other words, the presence and the weighting of the preoccupations for theatre in the two writers’ existence and career, on the one side (A dramatical life); themes, motives, procedures, similar features of the dramatic creation, on the other side (Theatre and speech). From the latter, the most emphasized are: the world as a stage, disguise, woman as theatre, the oniric scene.
