Summary/Abstract: Temporal meanings form one part of the conceptualisation of spatial environment. Among a wide diversity of spatial conceptions, the present article focuses on the conception of “place” and its temporality. Different approaches to place tackle with various aspects, such as experiences, sociality, and physical space. The named aspects are also the basis for understanding the temporality of place. When describing a place as a “text of spatial semiosis”, the structural conformity of different approaches appears. Place as a spatial conception is related to other spatial conceptions which poses the question of associating temporal meanings of places with temporal meanings of other spatial conceptions.
