CONTEMPORARY TENDENCIES IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

Summary/Abstract: Administration as a social phenomenon has been developing within general social development and has been influenced by various factors. Its significance as well as its development has been raising during XX century. Contemporary tendencies in public administrations are: tendency of raise of administrative organisations, tendency towards differentiation of administrative organisations, tendency related to profesionalization of administration, tendency regarding limitation of compulsion in administration and tendency related to information systems in administration. Condition of above mentioned tendencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina is not adequately bespoken because it is presented only in its original and symbolic form, and that is the reason why changing constitution and conducting reform of public administration and civil service is a condition for the functioning of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
