Prospects for Development of Chinese Economy Till Year 2050

Summary/Abstract: The Chinese model of development and its approach to globalization brought impressive economic achivements ovel the last three decades. The paper aims at answering the question, whether Chinese rapid economic growth can continue and what its consequences will be. The main objectives of analysis are: firstly - to examine internal and external factors which may enhance or limit furher growth; secondly - to indicate the directions of chenges in economic growth pattern which may increase development abilities: thirdly - to describe the role of China in the world economy as well as its influence on development of other countries and regions. The research indicates that in coming decades China will introduce wide renage of remorms which will lead to restructuring of its economy. Further modernization will be based in a much larger degree on utilization of domestic innovations and technological advances and also will change economic growth pattern, focusing more on domestic consumption and services and less on industry and investment. In the multipolar world China will strive to ensure the implemenattion of its development goals and to increase its influence on many regions. Numerous projections of Chinese economic growth and its economic power show that soon it will become the largest economy in the world.
