Summary/Abstract: Jerzy Ludwiński’s book entitled “The Blue Era” was published in 2003 in Kraków. It includes his selected essays on 20th century art. Ludwiński is an art critic, and art theoretician. Also, he used to organise artistic meetings, and he established the Mona Lisa Gallery in Wroclaw, the Point Gallery in Toruń, and worked on different artistic projects. He lectured on 20th century art at the Art Academy in Poznań. As art theoretician, he liked paradoxes, such as Douglas Huebler’s paradoxical statement that “art was everything, except things seemingly artistic”.
