Controversy over the methods of measurement of economic growth sustainability

Summary/Abstract: The policy objective of sustainable development is to improve the quality of life of generations now living at a lower consumption of environmental resources. This implies the need to integrate with each other on economic, social and environmental aspects of the public policy.The aim of this paper is a critical analysis of the concepts of sustainability of economic growth, the controversy concerning the methods of sustainability measurement and the attempt to answer the question of how in practice one can contribute to the implementation of sustainable development.
