Euro-zone and the financial crisis

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the text is to show that euro-zone, despite its positive aspects, can be treated as a source of structural problems in Europe, like imbalances in current account of European economies or inability of EBC to conduct optimal monetary policy. Current crisis uncovered these weaknesses and showed the inadequacy of European macroeconomic policy institutions. In spite of these problems, joining euro-zone still should be the best option for Polish economic policy in the nearest future.
