Summary/Abstract: The project “Byzantine themes and sigillography” aims to bring together for the first time all the known published and unpublished sigillographic material belonging to state officials and (using the latest dating criteria, as well as evidence from other sources) to create prosopographic lists in chronological order, according to the theme and the particular public sector (military, civil, finacial, ecclesiastical) where these officials served.
