About the Presence of the "Robbers" of Friedrich Schiller in the Culture of the Bulgarian Revival

Summary/Abstract: The author follows the Bulgarian reception of Friedrich Schiller and his drama “Robbers” in the 1870s. The main task of the research is to outline typological similarities between “Robbers” of Schiller and “Outcasts” of Ivan Vazov due to the influence of the German classic writer on the young Bulgarian writer. The reception processes are commented in the context of the over-national intercultural relations on the Balkans.
