Summary/Abstract: The study offers a description of the historical aspect of Dominican, Cuban and Puerto Rican immigration to New York. The common link between the immigrants making up the three immigrant minority groups is the common characteristics they have. The members of the three immigrant groups kept close political connections to the mother country throughout their history. Members of the Cuban, Dominican and Puerto Rican immigrant communities in New York all arrived there in especially large numbers after World War II when there were economic problems in their home country. The population of the three immegrant groups in New Yourk constantly grew. The Cubans, Dominicans and Puerto Ricans were especially important immigrant groups whitin the Latino population of New York.
