Summary/Abstract: The contents of the present paper are considerations about two books devoted to the castle of Pińczów, which were intended to be written by a researcher of the castle and outstanding historian of architecture, recently died, Professor Adam Miłobędzki (1924 – 2003). Terrain works conducted in Pińczów in the years 1960 – 1962 were actions carried out faultlessly and were interdisciplinary ones, as a matter of fact were ahead of their times. Soon after they finished, a project of adaptation of the ruins, anyway never realized, was created. Co-authors of the planned book were to be participants of the research in Pińczów Maria Brykowska and Janusz Kuczyński, and the introduction was to be written by Professor Włodzimierz Antoniewicz. The work has never been written. To the idea of writing another book about the castle of Pińczów Adam Miłobędzki retuned at the turn of the 1970s. The work, written exclusively by A. Miłobędzki, was to be ready and given to publishers on 1 April 1981. It has never been created either. The castle in Pińczów was the greatest fortress that was built in Poland in the 15th century and this is a great pity that Adam Miłobędzki did not realize his intentions.
