Summary/Abstract: In geometry, the space occupied by an object is represented in three dimensions. Time can be represented as a dimension. In Guillaume’s interpretation, the dimension reserved to the mental representation of time is a borrowed dimension. Linguistically, verbal systems from Greek, Latin and French are constructed in three dimensions. The representation of time in the framework of these systems offers the speaker a complete structure of verbal forms ordered in relation to one another.
