Summary/Abstract: The article presents an important function the magazine devoted to “Gulliver”, a children’s book fulfills nowadays. From the first issue, it reminds of the works that after 1984 disappeared from readers’ circulation for political reasons and, in most cases, did not return to young readers any more. The text signals the status quo of the very situation. Most attention was paid to the advantages of the books in question, pointing to a great role of researchers, literature experts (e.g. Barbara Kosmowska, Anna Maria Krajewska, Bronisław Kulka, etc.) who go back to the “unwanted” works in “Gulliver”. What was also emphasized was the importance of popularizing outstanding books, including among others Ku swoim by Zofia Kossak, Bohaterski miś by Bronisława Ostrowska or Białe róże by Helena Zakrzewska and many others. It was also highlighted that thanks to such actions, “Gulliver’s” readers were given an access to interesting and precious literary texts.
