Summary/Abstract: In this D&U issue we present the two quite different, impressive diagnoses and repair programs of transforming the current global civilization—proposed by Henryk Skolimowski and by Nicholas Maxwell. Skolimowski’s conception of compassionalism is completed and enhanced here by Vir Singh’s investigations. Maxwell’s project and the idea of wisdom fundamental for it is discussed and commented in the issue in several papers.
