Social-Philanthropic Activities in the Eparchy of Cluj between 1921 and 1940între anii 1921-1940

Summary/Abstract: This article presents the main social-philanthropic activities that took place in the eparchy of Cluj between 1921 and 1940. The importance of the foundations under its administration, of the funds for the poor parishes, of those who wanted to help the poor, the orphans, the widows of priests, as well as old people are all highlighted in this context. Among the successes of these actions, we remark the „Nicolae Ivan” funds, the support offered to the poor priests in the mountains, as well as those offered to poor parishes and to parishes reunited with the Orthodox faith in the interwar period.
