Summary/Abstract: While the Soviet Union has dissolved and the Cold War has ended, Russia remains may be not as the main adversary, but to be looked by US still with suspicion in every move it takes. The two are no longer enemies. As Putin agreed with President Bush after their last summit in Sochi in April this year that despite disagreements, neither side views the other as an enemy. President Bush said of the Cold War, “It is over, it ended. And the fundamental question in this relationship is could we work together to put the Cold War in the past?” That has really been the crucial question since on both sides there are attitudes remaining from that era.
