Summary/Abstract: The origin of bioethics is one of the most astonishtng phenomena in contemporary science. As recently as in the mid sixties this term was unknown, even though the first publications on this topic appeared. There was a real explosion of articles in various philosophical, medical and law journals in the end of the sixties and in the beginning of the soventise. The first scientific institutes dealing with bioethics were founded, journals and encyclopedias dedicated ot this problem appeared and some American universities introduced a spezialized training in bioethics.
