Summary/Abstract: In his paper the author deliberates on the present dynamics of language development, mainly its vocabulary changes, general role and tasks of lexicography, present status of compiling and publishing bilingual dictionaries in Slovakia, and based on his findings, he identifies current tasks of contemporary Slovak bilingual lexicography.
