Summary/Abstract: Both Zahei Orbul and Exile are symbolical narratives of the man’s passing through the world, of acquiring redemption, ultimately of every man’s responsibility to choose his way. Encompassing similarities and differences, my study attempts to establish a parallel between the two writers’ novels. The two novels are the toil of two writers, Vasile Voiculescu and Patrick O’Connor, who, facing the “troubles” of their lives tried to pursue a dream.
