Summary/Abstract: The author of the article reflects upon the genre classification of Pavol Ctibor’s book Silentbloky. The analyzed texts namely possess heterogeneous genre character, they move on the border of diary entry, prose, dramatic and scientific text. These experimental texts are drawing near to poetry especially through concentrating on subject analysis, human consciousness exploration, especially its altered states. The state of crisis (deficiency, lack) as initiative state of the modern lyric is, in a certain sense, ironically reversed in Ctibor’s texts. The crisis of the subject here does not have fatal causes and effects, but it is deliberately evoked, “artificial” – it is part of authorial experiment with alternations of consciousness.
