Summary/Abstract: In this paper, the author points out the fundamental determinants of foreign policy orientation and strategies of the Western Balkans countries. In relation to this, he focuses on the comparative analysis on the main strategic foreign policy document of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Serbia. In this context, he concludes that the Western Balkans countries determined to membership in the European Union, NATO (with the exception of Serbia) and promotion of the regional cooperation, as well as the intensification of the role of those countries into the international organizations. The author also points to the relationship of the Western Balkans states to the leading countries of the world - the United States, the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China. On this occasion, as the author says, is a clear commitment of the Western Balkan countries in the region for stronger partnerships with the United States.
