Summary/Abstract: Nowadays, Polish graduates in library and information science (LIS), through broad competences and skills gained during their study, are more likely to receive employment outside the library sector. Projects launched by the European Union seem to be an interesting option due to considerable demand for information specialists and competitive salaries. The article aims to show the wide range of jobs offered to LIS graduates in EU-funded projects. The analysis of the largest Polish non-governmental organizations website (www.ngo.pl) has identified specific positions and tasks that could be undertaken by information specialists. A SWOT analysis indicated that working for EU-funded projects is an attractive career opportunity for LIS graduates.
