Summary/Abstract: The article examines the compensation of Yugoslav victims of medical experiments in Nazi camps during the Second World War. On the basis of archival sources the number and identity of victims is established, as well as the pace of their compensation in the postwar period, which stretched deep into 1960s. Belated and scarce compensation of more than 300 victims is responsibility of both German and Yugoslav state, whose unnecessary politisation of the issue complicated its timely solution.
