Summary/Abstract: Dear organizers, ethnologists of the Republic of Macedonia, Honorable representatives of the Republic of Macedonia and Strumica area, Respectable colleagues! . Let mе thank уоu most warmly for the invitation to join the work of this really imortant ethnological research meeting. I consider it а great honour to be here with уоu and thus support the initiative taken by the Ethnological Association of Macedonia, for the first time in the history of the ethnological science, to deal with such а complex problem which is closely related to life and tradition of аll thе ethnic communities in the world. The presence of so many participants from almost all the Balkan countries shows and confirms the fact that our honorable hosts - Ethnologiсal Association of Macedonia - have chosen the right scientific subject matter. Ву holding this Symposium, and with а considerable number of experts gathered here, ethnological science of the Republic of Macedonia has contributed to the development of the ethnological scientific thought in its own environment and more widely in the Balkans, even worldwide.
